Allok AVI MPEG Converter can help you convert between multiple popular video formats, such as MP4, AVI, MPEG, FLV, ASF and WMV. Moreover, it can also extract audio from video. It has a nice interface whose layout is consistent with its batch processing features.
Although the tool supports most popular formats, its input range does not include other widely used file types. You can convert just a segment of a file by choosing the initial and final times. Unfortunately, you should do this operation blindly because it does not support previewing the video. It is a shame that no other editing function is supported. Therefore, you cannot use this tool to crop the frame, add watermarks, embed subtitles or apply effects.
Multiple target profiles based on the supported formats are available. They have been conveniently classed according to their types and supporting devices. These presets are customizable as you can freely change such parameters as video codec, audio codec, quality and resolution. However, you cannot save new profiles.
All in all, Allok AVI MPEG Converter works just as expected. However, in my opinion, it is no match for many other media converters available.
